Hilario Martinez, MD

Screen Shot 2015-03-30 at 3.07.55 PM

Hilario Martinez, a native of Connecticut as well as Puerto Rico, came to South Florida in 2007 where he joined Palmetto General Hospital to help build and expand their vascular and neuroradiology department. Prior to his move to Florida, Dr. Martinez completed his schooling at the Ponce School of Medicine in 1996 then he headed back home to complete his residency from the University of Connecticut in Hartford. From here Dr. Martinez then went on to complete two fellowships as he continued to diversify his medical expertise and skill sets. His first was completed in our nation’s capital at Georgetown University for Vascular and Interventional Radiology followed by a Neuroradiology fellowship from the University of Maryland. Upon completion of his fellowships, Dr. Martinez accepted the position of Chair of Radiology at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital in New York where he remained until moving to FL in ’07. With over 10 years of hospital experience under his belt, Dr. Martinez joined Palm Vascular Centers in 2011 to focus more on his treatment of patients with Uterine Fibroids and Peripheral Vascular Disease. The fit has been perfect as Dr. Martinez’s everyday positive attitude, ability to speak English as well as Spanish, and clinical skills have made him many patients favorite around PVC.
